About Michael Rose Gardens

Michael-Rose McCall founded Michael Rose Gardens in 2020 after working in the landscape industry for over twelve years. She wanted to carve out her own niche as a bespoke garden-making practitioner, prioritizing attention to detail and high-quality workmanship. Her company is founded on a bootstrap mentality that appreciates hard work, craftsmanship, quality, beauty, and nature-based practices in the art of making gardens.

Her company manages and curates unique rural and urban landscapes with a client roster including wineries, wedding venues, inns, and private residences. In 2023, Michael-Rose added a landscape design studio to her offering ecosystem, and has been converting front lawns anf backyards into beautiful, plant-forward spaces ever since.

Michael-Rose enjoys utilizing her skills as a retired Arborist to provide care for trees and shrubs in the landscape. Additionally, she applies her trained eye and skills as a Master Gardener. She has been taking courses in Landscape Design for Climate Resilience from Toronto Metropolitan University and has received training in permaculture and organic horticulture from Gaia College.

In 2020, Michael-Rose began presenting on local radio, discussing garden-related topics. By 2023, she had made several appearances on CBC Radio, focusing on seasonal landscape subjects. She finds fulfillment in her volunteer work and responsibilities as a Master Gardener. Additionally, she dedicates herself to one pro bono community project annually and is available for workshops, presentations and talks.

Michael Rose Gardens is now based in Northumberland County and is available for aligned projects from Toronto to Prince Edward County.
